Sumter woman accused of sexual exploitation of a minor
Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office say on April 17th a concerned parent reported their child had received inappropriate communications from Nicole Crumb.
Sumter Co., S.C. (WOLO)–A Sumter woman is facing a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office say on April 17th a concerned parent reported their child had received inappropriate communications from Nicole Crumb.
Investigators say crumb was charged with sexual exploitation as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
A Sumter Co. Schools spokesperson says “Ms. Crumb was employed by Kelly Education, which is a third party agency that employs substitutes to work in the place of regular employees for teachers, paraprofessionals, clerical employees, custodians, and food service workers. She began serving as a substitute teacher in Sumter School District in February of 2023, and her last assignment was in March of 2025. She is now inactive in Kelly Education’s system. According to her employer, Kelly Education, she was assigned to Hillcrest Middle School. Our request to have her removed from this assignment was not a part of this investigation.”
