Father’s Day spending to reach $24 billion
(CNN)– According to the National Retail Federation, spending on Father’s Day is expected to reach $24 billion this year.
That’s a record, and way up from last year’s $22.4 billion.
Of about 8200 survey respondents, the average person plans to drop about $200.
All that money will go to things like greeting cards, clothing, a special outing, and gift cards.
Less than half of the respondents are buying for fathers or stepfathers, though.
Just over half are buying for husbands, sons, brothers, friends or grandfathers.
