Columbia Police arrest teen in connection to series of car break in’s

Columbia, SC (WOLO) —- The Columbia Police Department has arrested a teenager accused in a string of car break ins at multiple local hotels from May 28- June 1. The locations of those thefts included the Harbison area, the Southeast area of Columbia near Garners Ferry Road and the Northeast side of Columbia in the Candi Lane and River Drive areas.

Police say the 15 year old is from Charlotte, North Carolina faces nine counts of Auto Break in’s, nine counts of Criminal Conspiracy, eight counts of Grand Larceny and another 8 counts of Possession of Stolen Handguns.

CPD says the teen could be responsible for as many as 150 different car break in’s in multiple states.
