Suspect wanted in Sumter Co. arrested in Georgia

 

 

Sumter Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Co. deputies say a man wanted for allegedly holding a family member at gunpoint and pointing a gun at others was arrested Friday in Georgia.

Investigators say just before 11 Friday morning, deputies responded to a home on Green View Parkway where witnesses say Nikolas Kirchner-Prola held threatened several people including family members at gunpoint.

Deputies say someone inside the home came out armed causing Kirchner-Prola to leave.

Investigators say they issued a regional law enforcement bulletin and entered Kercher-Prola into the National Crime Information Center.

At 4pm, deputies say he was located and arrested in Georgia where he is currently being held pending extradition to Sumter.
