Local Living on ABC Columbia brought to you by MUSC Health
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Riverbanks Zoo is teaming up with Harvest Hope for “Toucan Tuesdays”.
Guests who bring two cans, bags or boxes of non-perishable food items will receive buy-one-get-one admission tickets and buy-one-get-one regular sized icees.
Toucan Tuesdays will take place every Tuesday now through August 12 with donation bins located at the zoo and garden entrances.
The Kershaw County Humane Society is hosting a special event to honor our teachers and first responders.
The Smarty Paws and Heroes event is this Friday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at their building on Black River Road.
All adoption fees are half-off, and teachers and first responders can eat for free.
You can attend the 9th annual Juneteenth Freedom Fest and Parade next weekend.
The event celebrates culture and community with live music, food tucks, games, and more.
It takes place on Saturday, June 21, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sumter and Gervais Streets in Columbia. Admission is free.
