SCDJJ hosts annual Jump Shots for Justice Basketball Tournament
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Hoops, not harm.
Friday, June 13, the Department of Juvenile Justice held its second annual Jump Shots for Justice Basketball Tournament.
The event at the Charles Drew Wellness Center is dedicated to fostering positive community engagement and supporting at-risk youth.
Organizers who spoke with ABC Columbia say no matter what the scoreboard says, all the kids who take part are winners.
In addition to the basketball there was also stem activities, face painting, and hair styling for the kids and teens in attendance.
