Fairfield County: 1 dead, 1 injured after man drives SUV into victims at boat landing

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Sumter man with murder and attempted murder after he allegedly crashed into two people with a vehicle.
Officials said the incident happened at the Molly Creek Boat Landing around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
Deputies responded to the scene around 11:34 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, and found two critically injured men lying in the parking area with two other men standing nearby.
Deputies said preliminary investigations revealed that Rosmann Justilien, of Sumter was driving a Cadillac Escalade that hit the victims.
The incident began as an argument that escalated into a physical fight.
Justilien then entered the SUV and drove toward the victims, hitting and dragging them before circling the parking lot and ultimately crashing into a parking stop, said deputies.
Additionally, investigators said Justilien intentionally hit the victims following the argument.
Both victims were taken to MUSC for treatment.
One remains in critical condition after being transferred to another hospital.
Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill identified the other victim as 28-year-old Kelvorius Epperson.
