Kershaw County deputies arrest man for attempted murder

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Kershaw County deputies have arrested a suspect accused in an attempted murder case, said Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

26-year-old Dwayne Smith was arrested in connection to a shooting at his Haile Street home on June 4.

Smith was booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center on charges including attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Officials say the victim remains in the hospital listed in stable condition.
