COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Riverbanks Zoo is teaming up with Harvest Hope for “Toucan Tuesdays”.

Guests who bring two cans, bags, or boxes of non-perishable food items will receive buy-one-get-one admission tickets and buy-one-get-one regular sized Icees.

Toucan Tuesdays will take place every Tuesday now through August 12 with donation bins located at the zoo and garden entrances.

You can still donate to the City of Columbia’s ‘On-The-Right-Foot’ clothing drive for students in Richland School Districts One and Two.

The goal is to provide 400 students with essential clothes, shoes, and personal care items before school starts.

Donations will be accepted now through August 2.

You can attend Columbia’s 10th annual Shrimp and Grits Festival this weekend.

Local restaurants will compete to win the title of “Columbia’s best shrimp and grits” by a panel of judges.

There will also be a winner in the people’s choice division.

It takes place Saturday, June 21, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Seawell’s on Rosewood Drive.

Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for kids.
