Leon Carl Howard III, is wanted in connection with a collision on Thursday, June 19, that involved a KCSO deputy during a vehicle pursuit on Ward Road.

Investigators say Howard is also wanted by the sheriff’s office in connection with seven additional, unrelated warrants that include 5 burglaries, 1 grand larceny, and 1 receiving stolen goods.

Howard was out on bond from another failure to stop for blue lights incident that ended in a collision on March 26.

The deputy that was involved in the collision was taken by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation.

KCSO says he was released from the hospital last night and is doing as well as can be expected after the collision.

Individuals like Mr Howard have no right to be on our roadways endangering the safety of our public. I thank God our deputy will be Ok and that no innocent citizen was hurt from Mr Howard’s poor decisions,” says Sheriff Lee Boan.
