SLED warns about USPS scam texts
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is warning South Carolinians about a fake text that may look like it’s from the United States Postal Service.
If you receive a text message about a delayed package from USPS, asking you to click on a link to update your address, SLED says don’t click on it and delete it instead.
USPS says it will never reach out directly to consumers and ask for money or personal identifying information.
And will always use USPS.com as their email address.
