Lexington County man sentenced in connection with sexually abusing minors

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Lexington County man has been sentenced for sexually abusing minors, say law enforcement.

44-year-old Juan Velasquez-Rocha pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

On May 2, 2022, Lexington County deputies responded to a report about a sexual assault.

Investigators determined that Rocha sexually abused two girls.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies say the victims were 11 and 15 years old at the time and the sexual abuse had occurred over the span of several years.

Rocha was taken to the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
