TSA: More than 18 million expected to travel for 4th of July

(CNN)– The Fourth of July holiday is quickly approaching, and the Transportation Security Administration is forecasting it to be a busy travel period.

TSA expects over 18-and-a-half-million people to travel by air from Tuesday, July 1st, through Monday, July 7.

The highest passenger volume is expected on Sunday, July 6, with approximately two-point-nine million passengers screened.

If you’re traveling with children 12 and under, TSA says they have practices in place to expedite screening.

Those kids can accompany a TSA pre-check-enrolled parent in pre-check lines.
