Bojangles launches campaign to support military families with peach cobbler sales
(WCIV) — In a “patriotic gesture,” Southern chicken and biscuits chain Bojangles is offering customers a chance to support local heroes through a new round-up campaign.
Running until July 25, the initiative will see 10% of Peach Cobbler sales donated to two military-focused charities: Folds of Honor Foundation and Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.
Customers can also choose to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at participating Bojangles locations or through the app, with the additional funds going directly to the charities.
“This campaign gives our customers an opportunity to enjoy something sweet while doing something sweet in return – it’s a great way to give back to our heroes who sacrifice so much,” said Ken Reynolds, executive director of The Bojangles Foundation. “We’re proud to partner with two incredible organizations that turn generosity into meaningful support, and we’re grateful to our customers for joining us in this mission.”
Military support is a core value of the Bojangles Foundation, which has previously collaborated with both organizations.
Folds of Honor provides educational scholarships to families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders, while Fallen Patriots offers college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.
“The Bojangles community continues to show unwavering dedication to our mission,” said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor Foundation. “Because of their commitment, we’re able to provide life-changing educational opportunities that honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.”
David Kim, co-founder and CEO of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, added, “We’re proud to once again join forces with Bojangles in support of the children of our fallen heroes. Every Peach Cobbler sold and every rounded-up dollar sends a powerful message to these families: that their loved ones’ sacrifice is not forgotten, and their children’s futures matter to all of us.”
