Fairfield Co. coroner identifies person who died after collision in Winnsboro

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill has identified the person who died after a collision in Winnsboro, said the coroner’s office.

According to officials, the collision happened on I-77 near mile marker 46 in Winnsboro.

Coroner Chris Hill said 60-year-old Kathleen E. Hodge of Darlington was the operator of a motorcycle that lost control, and collided with an 18 wheeler. Ms. Hodge died at the scene.

Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision remains under investigation by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
