President Trump tariffs take a toll on toys

(CNN)– The Trump Administration’s tariffs are taking a toll on toys.

Prices for many dolls, stuffed animals, blocks, and games rose 2.2% between April and May.

Analysts say that’s an unprecedented increase and it’s largely the result of the U.S.’ new trade policies.

According to the Census Bureau roughly 75% of the toys sold in the U.S. come from China which is currently dealing with a 30% tariff from the Trump Administration.

Earlier this year the fee was as high as 145%.
