Severe storms blow through the Midlands
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The severe thunderstorms Chief Meteorologist JOhn Farley has been telling us about all day, are now moving through the Midlands. The winds now being reported by the National Weather Service (NWS) upwards of 60 miles per hour along. Those strong winds are coming through along with lightning, heavy downpours, and hail.
ABC Columbia News has also received reports of downed tree limbs, trees, and powerlines.

At the height of the storm all of the Midland electric companies combined reported a total of nearly 20 thousand customers without power.
