Unemployment struggle to find jobs

(CNN)– For most Americans, the job hunt is taking a long time.

New data from the U.S. Department of Labor shows about 236,000 people filed for initial unemployment benefits during the week ending June 21.

That’s down by about 10,000 from the week before however, continuing claims which are filed by people who have received jobless benefits for more than one week were up.

During the week that ended June 14th, the number of continuing unemployment claims rose to its highest total since November 2021.
