Deputies,firefighters, SCDNR respond to drowning on Lake Wateree

Kershaw Co., S.C. (WOLO)– The Kershaw Co. Coroner’s Office says on Sunday afternoon David Cunningham, 62, of Lancaster Co. jumped off a boat and into the water Sunday.

Officials say he  initially resurfaced but went under again and never came up.

The coroner says officials from SCDNR, Kershaw Co. Fire Services, and the Kershaw Co. Sheriff’s Office participated in the search.

His body was located around 10:45 Sunday night.
