Skimmer device may have left your credit, debit cards exposed

Camden, SC (WOLO) — The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is sending a warning tonight. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a skimmer device, which is an electronic tool scammers often use to steal your financial information anytime you swipe a debit or credit card in the machine. Deputies say they discovered one of these type of devices at the Piggly Wiggly along E. DeKalb Street in Camden.

Law enforcement says the device was connected to a register inside of the store and believed to have been in place for about 2 weeks. Authorities are asking anyone who has been to this grocery store in the last few weeks, and has seen unusual activity on their credit card accounts to contact the the Camden Police Department by calling (803) 425-1512.
