COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– All over the state and the country people will be celebrating Independence Day.

Here are some events below to check out and celebrate the 4th of July.

 

Fireworks with the Phil:

South Carolina Philharmonic is holding its annual Fireworks with the Phil on Thursday, July 3, beginning at 8 p.m.

Officials say gates open at 6:30 p.m.

 

4th of July Laser Light Show:

There will be a laser light show at Moore Park (7473 Church Street) in Irmo from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will be free with complimentary hotdogs while they last.

Take a lawn chair or blanket for a night of lights and fun.

 

Lexington County Peach Festival

The festival will begin at 9:30 am until 9:30 pm and ends with a fireworks display.

There will be a parade and over 100 art & craft exhibits, an antique car show, children’s rides, and many food items at 110 Rikard Circle in Gilbert.

 

Fort Jackson 4th of July

Fort Jackson’s 4th of July celebration will happen from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be food, beverages, amusement rides, musical performances, and fireworks.

Gates open at 4 p.m. at Hilton Field, and it is open to the public.

 

City of Newberry Annual Law Enforcement Fireworks

The annual Law Enforcement Fireworks display will be held at Newberry High School at 6 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9 p.m.
