Lee County deputies investigating series of stolen vehicles, break-ins
LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lee County deputies are investigating a series of stolen vehicles and break-ins.
Deputies say between July 9 and July 13, three vehicles were stolen and several were broken into in the area of Holman Road and Martinville Church Road.
Other vehicle thefts were also reported in Sumter County near that same area.
On Monday, a deputy spotted one of the stolen vehicles from Sumter and attempted to stop it when the driver fled.
After a brief chase, the occupants fled on foot but the deputy identified the driver.
That led deputies to an operation on Egypt Road where they say several stolen vehicles and items were found.
