Troopers: All lanes back open following wreck on I-20 West at Exit 71 overnight

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Troopers say all lanes are back open on I-20 West at Exit 71 following a wreck that happened overnight.

Troopers say it happened before 12:30 a.m.

Our ABC Columbia crew at the scene saw a motorcycle that was split in half.

SC Troopers also say a motorcycle struck the rear of a trailer towed by a pick-up truck destroying the motorcycle and blocking the road for hours.

Upchurch died at the scene.

Richland County Coroner’s Office says the victim was identified as 19-year-old Aleena Upchurch of Chapin.

Master Trooper William Bennett says Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
