2 Midlands men arrested in connection with Britton Road burglary
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter County man and a Clarendon County man were arrested Wednesday afternoon after deputies found them hiding inside a business they allegedly burglarized on Britton Road, said deputies.
Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office were called to the location at about 2:59 p.m. Wednesday, July 16.
While clearing the building, deputies say they found Antwine Deangelo McFadden and Guy Douglas Owens Jr. hiding inside.
Both men were taken into custody without incident and charged with burglary.
McFadden and Owens were taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where they remain pending a bond hearing.
The case remains under investigation, according to SCSO.
