Newberry Co. Coroner identifies victim of deadly Saturday collision

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a deadly Saturday collision.

Officials say the collision happened on July 19, after 11 a.m. on Saint Philips Church Road.

According to troopers,48-year-old Marisela Gaither of Winnsboro went off the right side of the road, hit a mailbox, then went off to the left where she struck a wooden post, an embankment and a tree.

This incident remains under investigation.
