2 arrested in relation to June shooting, deputies say

 

 

 

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff’s Department says two people have been arrested in relation to a June shooting on Two Notch Road.

On June 8, around 8:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting incident in the 10,000 block Two Notch Road.

Deputies say when they arrived to the scene, they found two victims near the location with gunshot wounds.

They began to render aid to the victims until EMS arrived to the scene and took them to a local hospital.

During the course of the investigation, two suspects and an vehicle were identified.

The suspects were identified as Christian Frederick, and Dion Briggs.

On July 11, warrants were served on Frederick.

Investigators say during the execution of the warrants, several firearms were found and one of the firearms was confirmed to have been used during the shooting.

Frederick was arrested on July 11, and charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Frederick’s bond was denied.

Briggs was arrested on July 21, and charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Briggs is still detained on a $150,000 surety bond.
