Missing vulnerable 63-year-old found dead, says Columbia PD

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia PD says the 63-year-old woman who was reported as a missing vulnerable adult has been found deceased.

Wanda J. Collins, also known as Wanda J. Barksdale was found Wednesday afternoon, July 23, by CPD officers near Interstate-126 Westbound.

Officers do not suspect foul play at this time.

The RC Coroner’s Office has notified next of kin, and will conduct an autopsy Thursday, July 24.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia PD’s Special Victims Unit is searching for a 63-year-old missing vulnerable adult, according to police.

Officers say Wanda Collins was last seen overnight in the area of I-126 westbound.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department, and SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is assisting in the search for Collins.
