CAMDEN, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands man gave to a local church after becoming a Powerball winner, say lottery officials.

The winner made a donation to a local church after winning $100,000 playing Powerball this month.

“I felt really, really blessed,” the longtime Powerball player told South Carolina Education Lottery officials.

The lucky ticket was purchased at the Corner Pantry #138 on Sumter Hwy. in Camden.

Lottery officials say the ticket matched all but one number in the Powerball drawing on July 12.

The winner says it was bedtime when he checked his ticket and realized all but one of the numbers matched.

He says he went to sleep, but first thing the next morning he checked the ticket again.

“It was outstanding,” he says.
