Visitation held for 12-year-old boy who died after contracting brain-eating Amoeba

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A visitation was held this afternoon (Friday, July 25) for Jaysen Carr, the 12-year-old boy who died after contracting a brain-eating Amoeba in Lake Murray.

Family and loved ones took part in the visitation this afternoon at Myers Mortuary and Cremation Services on Alpine Road.

Attorneys for Clarence and Ebony Carr say their son died on July 18.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 26,  at Shandon United Methodist Church on Devine Street.
