WATCH: Deputy given Narcan after coming in contact with fentanyl

The Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office has provided body camera footage of an incident in which one of its deputies came in contact with fentanyl.
Deputies say on June 26th they responded to a woman asleep in her car.
After waking the woman, deputies say they found a dollar bill with a brown powdery substance inside that tested positive for fentanyl.
According to an incident report one of the responding deputies came in contact with the drug causing a reaction.
Her fellow deputy was able to quickly retrieve and administer Narcan which lessened the effects of the drug.
The deputy was ultimately taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
