SCDOT: All lanes back open on I-20 following wreck between two 18 wheelers & a van in Lee Co.

LEE CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says all lanes are back open on I-20 East at Exit 116 overnight following a wreck Thursday night.

Troopers say it happened before 8:30 p.m.

According to Lee Co. firefighters, two 18-wheelers and a passenger van collided on the exit ramp.

Officials say one 18-wheeler and the passenger van were both on fire and the truck’s cargo was severely compromised.

They also say the second 18-wheeler was overturned, with its load having spilled across the interstate.

Troopers have not confirmed any injuries as of yet as this incident remains under investigation.
