Deputies: Man arrested, charged with trafficking meth, fentanyl
Lexington Co. S.C. (WOLO)– Deputies with the Lexington Co. Sheriff’s Dept. say a they arrested a man for trafficking fentanyl and distributing meth.
Investigators say Gary Ware, 38, is also charged with possessing a weapon.
“We’ve had previous encounters with Ware and received some recent intelligence about ongoing drug activity at his home on Hayride Road in Gilbert,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “That prompted us to secure a search warrant for the home.”
Investigators say they found the drugs along with plastic bags, a digital scale while executing a search warrant Saturday.
“Deputies also found some 9 mm ammunition in Ware’s home,” Koon said. “Due to a previous criminal conviction, he is prohibited from having ammunition in his possession. That’s the basis for the weapon possession charge.”
