Local Living: Women’s Empowerment of South Carolina, Main Street Latin Festival, Soda City Comic Con, Orangeburg back-to-school bash

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, you can attend the 11th annual Women’s Empowerment of South Carolina.

The event is this Saturday, Aug. 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds.

You can enjoy some live music, vendors,  food, workshops, seminars, and more.

 

The City of Columbia is hosting their annual Main Street Latin Festival.

The event is Saturday, August 23, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Main Street.

You can enjoy a wide range of latin food, art, live music, and so much more.

Plus it’s free to attend.

 

Soda City Comic Con returns to the Midlands later this month.

With over 150 artists, vendors, guests, and cosplayers, there’s something for every member of your family.

It takes place Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

 

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Williams and Williams Attorneys at Law to host a back-to-school bash this month.

There will be free food, free haircuts, community vendors, and school supplies.

The event kicks off Tuesday, August 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Russell Street.
