Unclaimed veterans laid to rest at Fort Jackson Cemetery
FORT JACKSON, S.C. (WOLO)– The remains of five previously unclaimed veterans were laid to rest at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery Friday.
Funeral services with full military honors were held for Army veterans Nolan Dugas Jr., William Faircloth, Everette Boice, Scott Plonski and Air Force veteran Kathleen Hodge.
Those that spoke with ABC Columbia say it is a fitting tribute.
According to the cemetery’s website, burial is available to all members of the Armed Forces who have met a minimum active duty service requirement and received an honorable discharge.
