SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT says Douglass Swamp Road will close for maintenance repairs on Wednesday.

The Wednesday, August 27, closure is expected to last until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28.

The work will take place surrounding the bridge over I-95 on Douglass Swamp Road, and drivers will not have access to the bridge at that time, say officials.

Douglass Swamp Road will be open to local traffic only except at the repair site.

Traffic will detour onto Rush Road (S43-597) and Trinity Road (S43-61).
