Brittanee Drexel’s mother files real property lawsuit against daughter’s killer
(WPDE) — On Aug. 13, Dawn Conley, Brittanee Drexel’s mother, filed a real property lawsuit against Raymond Moody and his girlfriend, Angel Cooper Vause.
Moody is currently serving a life sentence for Drexel’s 2009 kidnapping, rape and murder. His girlfriend, Vause, was sentenced in February to 18 years in federal prison for lying to investigators during the investigation.
In February 2025, a jury awarded Conley $700 million in damages to. The verdict included $200 million in actual damages and $500 million in punitive damages.
However, in April, attorneys for Drexel’s mom asked a judge to seize Moody’s assets after he failed to pay any portion of the $700 million civil judgment, according to filed court documents.
This new lawsuit claims that Moody owned property off Rose Hill Road that he deeded to Vause before his sentencing.

Conley claims that he “fraudulently transferred” the property in an effort to put his assets “outside the reach of his creditors, including Plaintiff.”
In this new suit, Conley is asking for the $700 million and post-judgement interest, attorney’s fees and the cost of this action.
