Town of South Congaree police chief put on administrative leave after two-vehicle crash

CONGAREE, S.C. (WOLO)– The Town of South Congaree has put their police chief on administrative leave after multiple people were hospitalized due to a crash.

Officials say South Congaree Police Chief Steve Jonas was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the City of Columbia Wednesday, August 27.

This cause Chief Jonas and the occupants of the other vehicle to be sent a local hospital.

This incident remains under investigation.
