Wall Street closes out wild month

(CNN)– U.S. stocks are closing out another wild month in trading.

The markets in August have digested a lot.

That’s included a weaker-than-expected jobs report and continuing uncertainty over the Trump Administration’s tariffs.

There’s also been the president’s targeting of the federal reserve which recently includes attempts to oust Fed Governor Lisa Cook.

Through it all, stocks have continued to steadily rise.

That’s been bolstered by traders’ hopes for fed rate cuts, corporate earnings reports, and prevailing confidence that an Ai boom might reap big rewards for investors.
