2 people left displaced after Friday afternoon S. Ott Road home fire
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– First shift crews with the CRFD were able to control a Friday afternoon house fire, according to fire officials.
Columbia-Richland Fire Department says firefighters were called to a S. Ott Road home shortly after 3:15 p.m. for a fire.
When firefighters arrived to the scene, smoke could be seen coming from the property, and fire was visible from one of its rear corners.
Crews made entry and extinguished the fire in a laundry room area of the home.
Fire officials say that room suffered heavy fire damages and the whole property was affected by smoke.
There were no injuries and two people were left displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
