Local Living: Tunnel to Towers 5K, HBCU Battle of the Bands, You’re my Best Friend Tour, “Zoofari” experience

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K starts Friday at 6 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Lincoln Street.

The event raises funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which supports our nation’s fallen and injured first responders, veterans, and their families.

Tickets are on sale now for the HBCU Battle of the Bands.

The highly-anticipated event will bring together the nation’s most dynamic bands for an evening of music, dance, and school spirit.

It takes place Sunday, September 14, at the Charles W. Johnson Stadium.

Gates open at 2 p.m. and the show starts at 4 p.m.

Adam Sandler’s “You’re my Best Friend Tour” is coming to Columbia this week.

The critically acclaimed comedian, actor, and producer will hit the stage at the Colonial Arena Wednesday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $35 to $165 for floor seats.

Riverbanks Zoo is hosting a “Zoofari” experience later this month.

You can enjoy an evening of light cuisine, craft cocktails, and curator-led tours.

Tickets are $100 for the general public and $85  for Riverbanks members.

It takes place September 26 from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
