RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man has been arrested after investigators say he stabbed someone.

RCSD says 36-year-old Eddie Chaney is accused of stabbing someone multiple times with a knife.

Law enforcement was called on Saturday night, September 6, around 7 p.m., in reference to domestic violence with a weapon in the 1900 block of Lake Carolina Drive.

While on the way to the scene, deputies were advised that Chaney had a knife and had attacked another person at the location.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they found Chaney in the front yard, and the victim inside a home with multiple stab wounds to the upper and lower body area.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for their injuries.

A further investigation provided showed that the suspect and victim lived together and a verbal altercation turned physical.

Chaney had sustained minor injuries to his hand and was treated at a local hospital, according to Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

He was released from the hospital and charged with attempted murder and is detained at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Also his bond was denied.
