SCHP: Driver dead following a wreck in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a wreck in Orangeburg Wednesday.

The collision happened at SC Highway 6 and Peach Orchard Street around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17.

According to troopers, the driver went off the left side of the road where they struck a mailbox and a tree.

They died on scene from their injuries.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as the investigation continues.
