1 person taken to hospital after shooting at car dealership

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person was taken to a local hospital after being shot at a car dealership on Friday morning, say RCSD deputies.

The sheriff’s department says deputies responded to a report of someone being shot just before 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Volkswagen dealership on Killian.

When deputies arrived to the scene they located one male with gunshot wounds.

EMS took him to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators say the suspect(s) left the scene before they arrived.

Additionally, Richland County Sheriff’s Department believes the shooting was an isolated incident.

Law enforcement say even though the scene is secure, people should avoid the dealership at this time to give investigators space to work.
