Chipotle announces new sauce

(CNN)– Chipotle is spicing-up its menu.

The fast-food chain is introducing a new ‘red chimichurri’ sauce.

It’s a $1 side, and is made with garlic, cilantro, chili peppers and citrus juice.

Chipotle says it’s aimed at Gen-Z diners who tend to like bold flavors.

The company says the new sauce will help it rebound from two consecutive quarters of slumping sales.

The new offering is set to debut Tuesday, September 30, but will only be available for a limited time.
