Orangeburg County coroner identifies person who died at detention center

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle has identified the person who died on Wednesday, said the coroner’s office.

According to Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office, the person died at the Orangeburg County Detention Center on Wednesday, October 1.

The person was identified as Bennie Williams, Jr., 47, of Von Oshen Drive in Orangeburg.

Williams, Jr., was pronounced dead at the detention center, and an autopsy for him is scheduled for Friday, October 3.
