New online program available for veterans entering civilian life
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–The Veterans Administration of South Carolina is unveiling a new tool to help those who have served in the military transition to civilian life.
Tuesday the VA announced the launch of SC Smart Start.
Officials say the program is an online-based platform that acts as a personalized guide, connecting users directly to the most in-demand resources, state benefits, and community support available across the Palmetto State.
“Transitioning from military service is a critical phase, and our state is committed to making that journey as smooth as possible for those who have served us,” said David Rozelle, Director of Workforce Enhancement, SCDVA. “SC Smart Start transforms our commitment into action. This platform is the one-stop-shop for every Veteran and family member to gain the tools, connections, and opportunities needed to build a successful and thriving future here in South Carolina.”
