Sumter Co. coroner ID’s person who died after vehicle incident

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Coroner Robert Baker has released the name of the person who died after a collision on Sunday night, said the coroner’s office.

County Coroner Baker said 31-year-old Damien Waiters of Richland County died at Prisma Health Richland after receiving injuries from a vehicle incident.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, on Hwy 261 North and Richbow Rd.

Sumter County Coroner’s Office along with the SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
