6-year-old Sumter child in stable condition after Monday evening shooting incident
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis held a press conference to update the public on the condition of a 6-year-child austic child who was shot after a Monday evening incident in their home.
According to Sumter County deputies a 6-year-old Sumter child is in stable condition at Prisma Health Richland Hospital after a shooting incident Monday evening.
Deputies are investigating after the child gained access to a loaded handgun at a Montana Drive home around 10 p.m. Monday, October 13.
The child remains in serious condition.
