Palmetto Family Service Center has new mobile medical unit

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Palmetto Family Service Center has some new wheels.

Wednesday afternoon, October 15, the group that provides services for those with chronic diseases, especially those with HIV and aids, held a ribbon cutting for its new medical mobile unit.

Officials say, the new vehicle will help expand primary care, confidential testing, pharmacy assistance, and more.

Also, officials say the purchase of the unit was made possible through organizations including Mission Medical Mobile and Humana Healthy Connections.
