CVS completes Rite Aid takeover
(CNN)– CVS Pharmacy says it has completed its nationwide acquisition of select ‘Rite Aid’ assets.
CVS bought and now operates 63 former ‘Rite Aid’ and Bartell Drugs stores in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
The company also acquired the prescription records of more than 600 former ‘Rite Aid’ and Bartell Drugs pharmacies in 15 states.
This means CVS pharmacy now serves more than nine million former patients from those two chains.
CVS is also adding to its pharmacy team upwards of 35,00 former employees from ‘Rite Aid’ and Bartell Drugs.
